Travis Lowber

Nampa, Idaho
Born: 1984 in Nampa, Idaho
Travis was raised on a small crop farm in Nampa Idaho. He helped out on the farm by driving tractor, changing water, and shoveling (not always dirt). Travis showed Western Pleasure Horses for most of his young life and when he was eight years old started his first swine project. Travis and his dad Tim bred their first showpig sow in 1997. The same sow raised the Grand and Reserve Champion hogs at the 1999 Canyon County Fair. This was the beginning of the 6 to 10 showpig sow operation Travis manages today. Travis is currently a Canyon County Sheriff’s Deputy. Travis met his wife Abby in the 4-H program where they competed in the swine project against each other. Travis and Abby have two children, Tucker and Darby who are lifetime members of the IJSA.
